This week, we got to pollinate our plant. Our plant is not growing as fast as the other ones but it is slowly getting there. We also discussed and made DNA models. I learned that RNA comes from DNA because it makes copies from DNA strand used to make protein. We also did a coin flip activity with a partner that determined traits/features our child would have.
I was able to relate this to what I already knew because we did similar activities to these in elementary school. I remember making replicas on DNA models in science class and using the same coin activity.
These are fun activities but my question would be how can I incorporate these activities into a classroom for younger students? How can I make them "simpler".
